Although the procurement process is collaborative, any resulting contract will be subject to separate awards — 1 for each Area Team lot(s).A draft service specification will be available to the economic operators expressing and interest once Invitations to Tender have been issued. However, the immunisation services covered by this contract opportunity are as follows:1. Meningitis C immunisation programme (National Service Specification 6).2. Human papillomavirus (HPV) programme. (National Service Specification 11).3. Td/IPV (teenage booster) immunisation programme.4. Seasonal influenza programme for children (2014-15 programme) (see text for further details).The SAIS objectives are to provide high quality and timely immunisation services, in accordance with the above national service specifications. The future provider will be expected ensure immunisation uptake rates are achieved in line with contractual key performance indicators and national uptake expectations.It should be noted that NHS England, in accordance with recommendations from the Joint Committee on Vaccinations and Immunisations, is intending to commission influenza immunisations for all 2-16 year olds over the coming years. 2-4 year olds were provided with immunisations against influenza universally across England in financial year 14/15 and it is intended this will be extended to 5 and 6 year olds in financial year 15/16. In some areas the extent of this immunisation programme is wider due to the existence of pilot programmes. Children aged 2-4 years of age will be offered influenza immunisations by their registered GP and as such this age group will remain excluded from this procurement.Economic operators expressing an interest in this contract opportunity should note that influenza immunisation services will be included in each of the potential contract Lots, unless notified to the contrary. Further details and specific requirements for each Area Team’s Lots will be published in the documentation released subsequent to this advert.It should be noted that the provision of influenza immunisations has been excluded from the contract value cited in this advert due to the uncertain profile of the future roll-out. It should also be noted that once included within the scope of any future contract the contract value could be increased by up to 5 times the values stated in this advert.
