Bridge blown up for highway construction
A footbridge on Germany’s Autobahn near Stuttgart was demolished at the weekend to make way for the construction of a new stretch of highway with extra driving lanes.
Traffic was blocked on the route to allow the “Red Steigle” bridge to undergo the demolition work.
The video shows the bridge brought down in a large plume of smoke and workers move in to begin the clean up operation. Excavators can also be seen removing the debris from the area.
