Short description of the contract or purchase(s): English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings and sites – from world famous prehistoric sites to grand medieval castles, from Roman forts on the edges of empire to Cold War bunkers. Through these, we bring the story of England to life for over 10 000 000 visitors each year.
Please note that from 1.4.2015 The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission (trading as English Heritage) is to be split into two separate organisations. A new charity will be set up to manage the National Heritage Collection. The charity will retain the name English Heritage, but will be an entirely new organisation. The remainder of English Heritage (which provides planning and conservation services and advice) will operate under the new name of Historic England, but will remain as the same legal entity. This contract is being let by The Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission on behalf of what will be on award of this contract the charity ‘English Heritage’.
The English Heritage brand and creative team will award framework agreements covering the 2 Lots outlined below. This team sits within the Marketing department and plays an intrinsic part in the creative development and delivery of the English Heritage brand by providing design and artwork services for all the charity’s internal and external communications. The in house studio also acts as an advisory department to its internal client base and suppliers, advising on brand, design and print best practice across a diverse range of channels.
The successful appointed agencies will provide a consistent high quality, cost effective delivery of strategic and design work, supported by an experienced and dedicated account team. They will work directly with the Brand and Creative team in conjunction with project managers from across English Heritage.
