University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust (UHB) is 1 of the highest performing NHS Organisations in Europe with a proven international reputation for its quality of care, information technology, clinical education, training and research. The Trust is currently seeking to engage with potential suppliers/providers of Infusion devices and associated supplies/consumables as part of an initial market engagement exercise. The outcome and feedback from this exercise will determine the preferred procurement route.
The procurement route chosen may involve a further competition against a public sector framework agreement or a full EU procurement exercise.

II.2.4) Description of the procurement
The Trust intends to award a contract with the follow key requirements:
— Appointment of a single provider of Volumetric Pumps and Syringe Pumps.
— Contract to cover initial bulk device requirement plus ongoing arrangement to acquire additional devices during the contract term.
— The estimated no of Volumetric Pumps is 750, and Syringe Pumps is 815.
— Supply of all dedicated consumables with options to procure non dedicated consumables.
— Supply of equipment accessories including docking stations.
— Various methods of acquisition/financing including outright purchase, purchase set plan, lease and/or any combination thereof.
— Contract Period: Minimum of 7 years.
— Devices supplied must be future proof and include provision of error reduction software.
— Provision of initial and ongoing clinical and technical training.
— Comprehensive warranty cover including supply of spare parts and service kits.
— Contract Management and Agreed KPI’s.
