Kenzie Group identify substantial savings for multi-national client
The Kenzie Group’s project team were recently commissioned to provide commercial advice for a multi-national client that was looking to purchase land and employ a contractor to build a new training facility/office development in Staffordshire.
The assignment involved a comprehensive analysis of the entire proposed building specification that was issued by the contractor, along with a full assessment of the reasonableness of the rates for the build. The Kenzie Group also offered a number of alternative solutions across the full spectrum of work packages in terms of value engineered options, through to a range of strategic suggestions.
The client found the commercial advice to be hugely beneficial in that areas of the report highlighted areas of the build that were potentially priced as high as 80% above expected market levels – this obviously came as a serious shock to them, and similarly highlighted huge discrepancies in areas of the specification.
This advice prompted a revised strategy for the client, and the Kenzie Group project team spearheaded negotiations that were hugely beneficial to the client.
The Kenzie Group have experience of acting for a wide range of clients from small sub-contractors through to multi-national organisations. Clients include employers, contractors, sub-contractors, consultants and suppliers.
