Eque2 feature in CIOB ‘Remastering the Future’ Programme by ITN Productions

Earlier in the year Eque2 were approached by the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) and ITN Productions to be part of their ‘Remastering the Future’ series. The programme shadows a day in the life of the team at SJE Carpentry & Joinery Ltd (SJE), and features their current project at Principle Place in London.

The programme captures how SJE use Eque2’s EValuate estimating software alongside its contract management system, Construct for Sage. Members of the team in the office and on-site explain how the software is used across the entire project lifecycle to ensure their estimates are accurate, contracts are managed, deliveries are recorded and jobs are delivered on time and budget. David Halbert, Business Development Director at SJE explains that they chose Eque2 because construction is a very competitive market and they want to be “at the forefront of new technologies” to ensure they have a competitive advantage. He also said that he has confidence in the monthly figures the software produces which is vital.

Justin Moule, Commercial Director here at Eque2 also gave us his thoughts of the day:

“It was great to see how one of our customers are using our full suite of software to support them through a period of rapid growth. It was particularly useful observing how the site based and office teams are able to collaborate closely, therefore minimising errors at every stage of the project. Adoption of the Construct Mobile Applications is further evidence of how new technology can help to solve some of the age old problems within construction.”
