We are all about innovation
That was the message that went out loud and clear at an impressive series of workshops and discussions hosted by A-Plant and attended by leading supply chain partners.
Representatives from A-Plant’s 16 specialist divisions joined brand leading plant and equipment suppliers for the two-day Innovation Workshop to dig deep into the processes and ethos around bringing innovative and sustainable new products to market.
More than 14 supply chain partners including Altrad Belle, Hilti, Ritelite (Systems), Tag Systems, Trackunit, Wacker Neuson and Zapp Shelters attended the event to demonstrate their latest products.
During the last three years, A-Plant has invested more than £150m annually in new equipment.
A-Plant’s Commercial Director Dave Harris commentated on the Innovation Workshop, which took place at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
“We are the largest equipment rental company in the UK and innovation is at the heart of everything we do.
“We are constantly looking at new ways to expand our fleet and services and this involves collaborating closely with our customers and suppliers.
“Identifying future customer needs and trends as well as being a conduit for trialling and launching new products and services, experimenting with new processes and systems and investing in and encouraging innovation is a key focus.
“The Innovation Workshop was a huge success in bringing together representatives from all our 16 specialists divisions with leading suppliers; it was an opportunity to brainstorm, share ideas and boost our continual drive to be market leading innovators.”
Trackunit’s UK Country Manager Mark Smyth said: “Innovation is a buzz word throughout the construction industry at the moment, especially with major infrastructure projects such as HS2 about to get underway.
“We were delighted to take part in A-Plant’s Innovation Workshop and continually look at new ways to work smarter and collaboratively to create new innovations for the future.”
