Manchester Construction Networking Event
On Thursday the 19th September, we hosted a construction-focused networking event on the rooftop terrace of Great John Street Hotel, Manchester.
Whilst overlooking the stunning views of Manchester, enjoying one of the last sunny days of the year whilst counting the number of cranes surrounding the city, senior construction and building supply chain professionals came together over a drink, discussing hot topics and ways one another could help the other.
With a lack of construction focused events in the North West, we wanted to change this and bring the construction community together on a regular basis, offering one another support and guidance, whilst providing attendees the opportunity to learn and expand their knowledge on timely topics within the industry.
With that being said, the focus of the event was Supplier Relationship Management, discussing ways we can harness our relationships with our suppliers to optimise processes. Guests speakers from Hyman Capital, Nigel Ransom and Dennis Horner, used their own experience and knowledge to explore a number of different processes the industry can implement.
Hyman Capital are a boutique merchant bank and business consultancy, who help young, growing businesses access new sources of funding, and to properly prepare for any financial transactions they are planning to undertake – while also advising them on how to become more efficient and effective. Offering distinctive services, Hyman Capital deal with businesses who are undergoing significant changes therefore recognise how important harnessing supplier relationships are.
At Open ECX, we strive for the construction community to become #BetterConnected across the supply chain, from manufacturers to suppliers to contractors. To find out more about Open ECX and how we can help you become better connected, please click here.
