Naylor Acknowledged in Manufacturer Listing
Edward Naylor, CEO of Cawthorne/Barnsley based Naylor Industries plc has been included in a high profile listing of manufacturing’s most inspiring and influential individuals. The Manufacturer magazine recently published its 2015 Top 100 listing, with the aim of publicly identifying and championing dynamic leaders and innovators in the manufacturing sector, and Naylor was one of the listing’s 20 exemplars, receiving an in-depth profile in the accompanying publication.
This year’s Manufacturer listing includes individuals hailing from all over the country, from a range of sectors and occupying varying roles in manufacturing. The list was decided by an expert panel of judges from academia, industry and the wider manufacturing community. Individuals are listed for their contributions in changing the face of industry, finding new markets or making marked investment in people, processes and customers.
Naylor has been CEO of Naylor Industries plc since 1993, when, aged 30, he took over the struggling £12m turnover business on the death of his father Allan. Since then, he has overseen a period of innovation and diversification which has turned Naylor into a fast-growing and dynamic £50m group.
Asif Moghal of Autodesk, one of the judges commented “we’re on the brink of a new industrial revolution so it’s never been more important to showcase how British manufacturers are driving productivity, innovation and repetitive advantage. The Top 100 celebrates this shamelessly and we need more of that”.
