Nationwide Platforms Retains Top Safety Accreditation
The UK’s largest powered access rental specialist, Nationwide Platforms, has retained its Safecontractor accreditation for the fifth consecutive year after successfully demonstrating its commitment to achieving excellence in health and safety.
Safecontractor is a leading third party accreditation scheme which recognises very high standards in health and safety management amongst UK contractors. Ensuring a uniform standard across the business, the Safecontractor accreditation will enhance the company’s ability to attract new contracts as well as reassure existing customers of its commitment to safety.
John Kinge, Safecontractor Technical Director, said: “Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place. More companies need to understand the importance of adopting good risk management in the way that Nationwide Platforms has done.”
“The company’s high standard has set an example which hopefully will be followed by other companies within the sector.” Safecontractor plays a vital role in supporting our clients in meeting their compliance needs, whilst working with their contractors as they progress through the accreditation process.”
Jeremy Fish, Nationwide Platforms Managing Director, added: “Our customers’ safety is our number one priority. As such, it is imperative that we obtain and maintain the numerous health and safety accreditations year on year. This allows us to safely and effectively manage risks and ensure correct health and safety procedures are in place to safeguard our colleagues, clients and prospective customers.”
Under the Safecontractor scheme, Nationwide Platforms successfully underwent a rigorous vetting process which examined health and safety procedures as well as its track record for safe practice.
