Title: Richhill and Keady Environmental Improvement Schemes
Locations:
- The scheme for Richhill Village will provide environmental improvement works to Richhill’s main thoroughfares which includes Corcreevy Road, Irish Street, New Line and the War Memorial
- The scheme for Keady town centre will provide environmental improvement works to Keady’s main thoroughfares which include Bridge Street, Davis Street, Market Street, Kinlowen Street, Armagh Road and the town centre public areas (including areas around the existing monument, library & mill).
Client: Armagh City, Banbridge & Craigavon Borough Council
Description: The aim of the scheme is to provide fit for purpose shared spaces. It is hoped that this regeneration will promote footfall within the towns to help boost the trade and economy of both areas.
Works in Richhill include:
- Excavation and disposal of existing footpath & road surface
- Paving & kerbing using natural stone
- New footpath alignments
- Provision and installation of street furniture & tree planting
- Road surfacing, ramping, parking & line marking
- Works to existing services (including lighting)
- New drainage to connect to existing street drainage / sewers
- Footpath realignment works
- Minor engineering works, retaining structures/walls
- Relocation of the existing War Memorial
- Minor electrical works.
Works in Keady include:
- Excavation and disposal of existing footpath surface and minor areas road surface
- Paving & kerbing using concrete slabs and natural stone
- New footpath alignments
- Provision and installation of street furniture & tree planting
- Road surfacing parking & line marking
- Works to existing services (including lighting)
- New drainage to connect to existing street drainage / sewers
- Footpath realignment works
- Minor engineering works, retaining structures/walls
- Minor electrical works
