FUNDING FOR PROJECTS WORKING ON SHARING DATA FOR CLIMATE CHANGE, ENERGY AND HEALTH

Today we welcome seven new projects onto our data access stimulus fund as part of our Innovate UK funded R&D programme. The projects and initiatives explore approaches that enable trustworthy and ethical sharing of data to help citizens and businesses lower their impact on the environment, improve public services and save lives.

FUNDING TO SUPPORT NETWORKS TO BUILD INTERDISCIPLINARY COMMUNITIES TO ADDRESS AIR QUALITY CHALLENGES AT THE INDOOR/OUTDOOR INTERFACE

The funding will support six multidisciplinary research networks that will address future air quality challenges at the indoor-outdoor interface.Poor air quality is the largest environmental risk to public health in the UK, according to DEFRA’s Clean Air Strategy. The new multidisciplinary networks will drive forward research and innovation to help tackle major air quality challenges within both indoor and outdoor spaces including home, school, work, and public transport.

FUNDING TO HELP YOUNG PEOPLE INTO EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT

The Awarding Authority funds programmes designed to help disadvantaged and disengaged young people in the age range of 16 to 30, to pursue pathways to education, training and employment with the ultimate aim of helping them to become financially independent.
