87 contractors named on transformative £8Bn Framework
Procure Partnerships Framework has appointed 87 contractors to its second-generation National Framework.
Some 35 of the contractors were reappointed on the next iteration of the framework, which is set to be the biggest framework ever awarded across the UK, structured across nine sub-regional lots covering five value bands starting at 50K and going up to 50M+.
Meanwhile, in keeping with delivering benefits across the supply chain, some 65% of contractors within the lots up to £15M are small to medium enterprises.
The successful bidders will now cover four disciplines: Construction, Decarbonisation and Retrofit, Demolition and Site Preparation, and Infrastructure.
Procure Partnerships Framework will start to support the procurement of projects from 1st November, and successful bidders will lend to its success for the next 4 years until 2027.
Robbie Blackhurst, Framework Director said: “With over £1Bn projects delivered across the UK year on year, our national presence – as well as our extensive experience in both procurement and technical project delivery – means we can always move quickly to meet the needs of our clients.
The next iteration of the framework will see an added three disciplines; Decarbonisation and Retrofit, Demolition and Site Preparation, and Infrastructure with specialist contractors assigned to each.
“We have expanded our portfolio to cater to the growing needs of the industry whilst ensuring clients have access to the right contractors for their projects, whether that be regional small to medium-sized enterprises, or larger national delivery contractors.
“The new iteration of the framework is set to transform public procurement and we look forward to seeing what our contractor partners achieve over the next four years.”
Midlands-based contractor, G F Tomlinson, was one of the successful bidders, appointed to deliver projects across both the East Midlands and West Midlands.
Chris Flint, Managing Director at G F Tomlinson, said: ‘The Procure Partnerships Framework will enhance our coverage in the regions we operate in and provide a cost-effective platform for delivering essential public sector projects, and we are pleased to now be part of it.
“Since 2018 G F Tomlinson has delivered in excess of £500M projects within the public sector and this award will help to continue our commitment to delivering excellence in construction and our commitment to transforming communities. We look forward to developing significant projects across the East and West Midlands.”
