Watch a ‘wet-test’ of new flood gates and glass panel defences at New Passage
New flood gates, designed to hold back a huge weight of water, have been installed at New Passage as part of the Avonmouth and Severnside Enterprise Area (ASEA) Ecology Mitigation & Flood Defence Project. A ‘wet-test’ was conducted, which involved pumping two tonnes of water behind the flood gate and glass panels, and observing for leaks.
