The current contract for construction work for multi-dwelling buildings and individual houses in Manchester is projected to end on 19/04/2016 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for construction work for multi-dwelling buildings and individual houses included Main Contractors for the delivery of new build and development works on a Design and Build basis.Please note there may be a requirement over the lifetime of the framework for construct only services. The development projects will predominantly be new build programmes covering, but not limited to, residential dwellings, extra care, sheltered schemes, community centres, supported housing, retirement villages etc. However, there may be an element of refurbishment work to existing buildings but only where this is part of a wider development scheme.As a minimum applicants must be capable of delivering traditional construction methods but other modern methods of construction may be required during the life of the framework. PP will explore various approaches to ensure that the resulting framework offers value for money whilst delivering the code for sustainable homes, minimum level 3.The Framework Agreement has been divided into five lots. Please note that organisations can apply for a maximum of two lots and minimum turnover levels will apply.Note that if your organisation is a member of a group of companies it must apply for appointment to the Framework Agreement in its own right and, where appointed to the Framework Agreement, must itself enter into and undertake the works under any call off contracts that it is awarded via the framework. PP will not allow call-off contracts to be assigned to another organisation within the group.The Framework Agreement will be put in place for a maximum period of 4 years from approximately May 2012. It is anticipated that PP shall appoint multiple contractors to the Framework.
