Johnson publishes 200,000-home east London masterplan
London mayor Boris Johnson has published a masterplan for east of the capital that contains plans for more than 200,000 new homes over the next 20 years.Johnson launched the City in the East framework, detailing how development could take place from London Bridge to Dartford and Ilford, yesterday.The masterplan – which will act as part of planning guidance for local boroughs – brings together a number of so-called opportunity areas, as well as showing where future infrastructure may encourage development.The blueprint includes proposals for: 30,000 homes on the Isle of Dogs 21,500 homes in Bexley and Thamesmead 5,000 homes in Ilford 1,900 homes at London Bridge
