Development partner sought for £2 billion Haringey development

A development partner for one of London’s biggest partnerships will be sought by Haringey Council to drive forward plans for at least 5,000 new homes and create further jobs on its land in the borough. The council will launch a major procurement exercise early next year to seek a partner to work on regeneration schemes to potentially unlock more than £2 billion of development value on more than 20 sites across Haringey – including housing estates, brownfield land and commercial plots. The pioneering model will help bring private sector funding and expertise to help deliver the council’s significant regeneration ambitions in north Tottenham and Wood Green – while also realising the potential of smaller sites right across the borough. The delivery vehicle will create one of the capital’s biggest partnerships, and will enable the council to ensure that low-cost housing, new jobs and training opportunities, and better public facilities are at the heart of any new developments.
