The current contract for roof-covering work in Newport is projected to end on 20/05/2016 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for roof-covering work included external work to properties of roofing, fascias, soffits, gutters, porches, rendering, cladding, chimneys and the like with delivery of works to properties owned or managed by Newport City Homes (and others as explained below) so as to meet repair obligations, the Welsh Housing Quality Standard and adopted standards or targets by 2012.Additionally, Newport City Homes is seeking to establish the multi supplier collaborative Framework Agreement(s) not only on its behalf and for its own benefit but also on behalf of and for the benefit of any future subsidiary trading companies who may or may not be contracting authorities but will be owned wholly by Newport City Homes in its own right, or owned wholly by Newport City Homes in conjunction with other registered providers of social housing and also on behalf of and for the benefit of other registered providers of social housing and/or local authorities or other public bodies and organisations (and in all cases to include wholly or jointly owned trading subsidiaries) undertaking the same or similar housing activities as Newport City Homes within the area of Greater Gwent and with whom Newport City Homes may during the lifetime of the Framework Agreement(s) enter into agreements for the provision of works within the Framework agreement(s) to those registered providers of social housing and/or bodies and/or local authorities and/or organisations.Community Benefits applies to this contract, Further details: Responses to the community benifits table will be required to be completed as part of the ITT.
