NICIS 2 The six Northern Ireland Regional Further Education Colleges working in collaboration with the Department for Employment and Learning have a shared vision for NICIS 2 which entails the provision of MIS / ILT systems and supporting processes that facilitate delivery of high quality teaching and learning, meeting the needs of staff and students both now and in the future. At the heart of this vision is the provision of a common unified information solutions platform for the six regional colleges, ensuring: – Common reporting and business intelligence platform -Standardised platform supporting local and browser based access for all stakeholders; – Consistent approach to data capture and validation; – Harmonisation and standardisation of associated business processes; – Efficient and effective use of available resources.
