West Somerset Council submits six potential housing sites to planning inspector
Six potential housing sites have been approved by West Somerset Council to go before the planning inspector after a muddled vote at a full council meeting last Wednesday.Presenting the item, Cllr Keith Turner explained that the council were required to meet criteria set by the government and demonstrate that a range of housing development sites had been considered. This caused a brief break in the meeting while councillors consulted with the planning officers and it was proposed to vote on the sites individually, however Cllr Terry Venner questioned how democratic this was.
