4. Description: Technical assistance required to support the implementation of actions financed by the EU in Ghana
The overall objective of this project is to support the identification and implementation of actions under the 11th European Development Fund (EDF) National Indicative Programme (NIP) and other EU programmes and to improve awareness of issues related to development and EU actions among key actors in Ghana.
The specific objectives are:
1) to support the Government’s Development Strategy through the implementation of sound development programmes and policies
2) to foster a more coherent and informed approach to development cooperation and trade related issues and to policy dialogue
Activities
Mobilisation of Technical Assistance (TA) to prepare programmes/projects
Feasibility studies, surveys, assessments
Conferences and seminars organised for ACP countries on EU development, policy and trade related issues
Mobilisation of TA to support the implementation of programmes/projects
Participation in and organisation of training and capacity development activities on development and trade related issues for the benefit of key stakeholders
Participation in and organisation of conferences and seminars organised on EU development and trade priorities
Activities aiming at ensuring satisfactory monitoring and evaluation by National Authorising Office and line ministries of programmes and projects
Preparation and implementation of activities in other sectors relevant to the EU development cooperation in Ghana and West Africa which may not be directly related to the 11th EDF NIP
Audits and evaluations of programmes/projects whenever they cannot be financed out of the project itself or where it is convenient or efficient to combine a number of audit/evaluations of related interventions
Mobilisation of TA/studies, organisation of events to promote policy dialogue on issues relevant to the EU in Ghana and beyond
Activities aiming at increasing awareness and communication of EU actions in Ghana and beyond
