Gases in Wimborne – Framework Lead

The current contract for gases in Wimborne is projected to end on 25/07/2016 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for gases included Gases. The provision of Gas Supply/Support services to the UK Ministry ofDefence (MoD)and Agencies thereof but with the possibility of expansion toalso include other UK Public Sector contracting authorities.The anticipated MoD requirement is as summarised below:a) Supply of a comprehensive range of Industrial, Medical, Refrigerant andSpecialist gases in cylinders (contractor and/or MoD owned) and bulk to UKand some overseas locations.b) Inspection/Testing/Servicing of MoD owned gas cylinders includingdisposal where appropriate.c) Management of the MoD’s strategic stock of controlledrefrigerants/gases on a dedicated (contractor owned) site that complieswith all relevant environmental legislation.d) Provision of a UKAS accredited gas testing and analysis service (inparticular for MoD aviation and diving breathing gases).e) Provision of a fully functioning computerised gas cylinder trackingsystem with the capability to monitor MoD assets on a worldwide basis.Interested parties should note that only companies who are consideredcapable of undertaking all of the activities detailed above will beconsidered for inclusion in any resultant Tender Panel.
