Planning approval for leeds eyesore site
Full planning approval has been granted for the redevelopment of a redundant 2.5-acre site at the junction of Regent Street and Skinner Lane on the edge of Leeds city centre.Gregory Property Group plans to transform the derelict land and bring convenience and leisure facilities, as well as new jobs, to the neighbourhood which incorporates Mabgate. The site was formerly a Reg Vardy Renault dealership before closing down some years ago.National discount food retailer Aldi has committed to a 16,500 sq ft food store along with Pure Gym taking 18,500 sq ft for a 24-hour fitness facility. In addition Poundworld Retail is taking 7,500 sq ft.Work is planned to get underway in May with a Christmas completion scheduled.
