4. Description: This is a truly exciting time for the NHS here in North Wales, the world has changed for Betsi Cadwaladr (BCUHB) as an organisation and the case for the development of a Recruitment Attraction Strategy is the result of discussions around transformation and modernisation. BCUHB is undergoing a significant phase of review, transformation, investment and renewal which will enable the organisation to continue to improve the health and meet the care needs of our population in the years ahead.
This transformation does not come without its challenges, in terms of the number of vacancies and increases in the use of Nurse and Doctor staffing agencies.
Recruitment is seen as one of the biggest risks for North Wales. Workforce modernisation by developing new ways of working will be crucial for the next three years as it strives to become more efficient and effective, the ability to attract high quality candidates remains one of the biggest challenges for the organisation.
Finding the right place to work in the right place and a career that provides work life balance is what most of our job seekers and career movers are looking for. As a consequence we will be investing in the marketing of the Health Board and its people and services in North Wales in order to attract the right staff with the right skills at the right time in the right place.
To support all of this a Recruitment Attraction Strategy has been agreed and describes, how through a range of initiatives the Health Board can attract recruit and retain potential staff. One of the components of this will be a bespoke recruitment web site and associated marketing materials. This recruitment web site will need to support and provide demonstrable change in how BCUHB is perceived across the internet and social media. Whether it is a new healthcare professional just starting a career or others looking to progress or an expert in a particular field we want Betsi Cadwaladr to offer the perfect balance of work and lifestyle.
BCUHB invite quotations that meet the following specification from organisations, individuals or consortium that can carry out the proposed activities detailed in this document. The successful bidder will provide advice on the brand identity; associated materials and website design which will support the Recruitment Attraction Strategy.

Create a secure, password protected staff-only section of the website which can be used as a shared intranet style site

Provide advice on how other bespoke micro sites could be incorporated into the web site – Mountain Medicine, Medics North Wales and Healthy Prestatyn
