Plans afoot for large scale mixed-use development in Tolvaddon
Plans have been submitted to construct a large scale mixed use development at land in Tolvaddon.JSL (Trevenson) Limited recently submitted a pre-application advice to Cornwall Council with a view to building a family pub/restaurant, a 63 bedroom hotel, two drive-thru restaurants and approximately 154 car parking spaces on land at Trevenson gateway on Tolvaddon Road.Discussions regarding the proposed development are already underway with the council which has since noted “it (the site) is acknowledged the redevelopment of the site would make efficient use of the brownfield land and facilitate further investment and employment opportunities in the area”.The site was also granted planning permission for the erection of a hotel, some offices and housing and parking back in 2010 although work never got underway.The three storey hotel will have a total of 63 bedrooms and the family pub/restaurant will span two floors and will be served by a garden area.Drive-thru restaurants will be located at the centre and southern areas of the site, but no information as to brandings has yet been revealed.
