Northumberland housing scheme secures approval
Plans to build 192 homes in Northumberland have been given the go-ahead after an agreement was reached regarding affordable properties.Banks Property’s original outline application to build on land south of Lamb Street in Cramlington was approved in September 2015 subject to a number of planning conditions as well as the completion of a section 106 legal agreement.However, the agreement has not been completed and the planning permission has not been issued.A particular element of the deal was that 22 per cent of the development be deemed affordable housing, comprising of 42 units in total.Since September, the applicant has advised it wishes to instead provide 15 per cent affordable housing, representing 29 homes.
