Seddon starts work on 62 homes for Equity
Seddon has started work on two Equity Housing Group projects, which are worth a combined £6.7m, to build 62 homes in mid-Cheshire.The company is partnering with Equity to build 40 two- and three-bedroom family homes on the site of a former Royal British Legion centre on Meadow Drive in Barnton near Northwich in a £4.2m project. Work is due to be completed in July 2017.Half of the properties will be owned and managed by Equity Housing Group, and the remaining 20 homes are set for sale by ID4Living. Of the 20 properties owned by Equity, which are part-funded by the Homes and Communities Agency, 12 will be for affordable rent and a further eight for shared ownership.Meanwhile, Seddon is building 22 two- and three-bedroom homes for Equity on Leaf Lane in Winsford in a £2.5m project. Of these, 16 will be for affordable rent and six for shared ownership.The properties, which are to be built on the site of a former school, will be owned and managed by Equity and are expected to be completed in January 2017.
