50-home scheme set for go ahead
Councillors are set to grant planning consent for the construction of 50 houses on a site near Blackwood.Asbri Planning, on behalf of the Trustees of Llanover Estate, has submitted an outline application for the residential development on land on the eastern edge of Croespenmaen.A total of 50 houses are proposed for the 5.7-acre site, covering a mix of two-, three- and four-bedroom properties.Provision for 25 per cent of the site to be affordable housing has been sought and a play area for public use are also included in the proposal.The application will be considered by Caerphilly County Borough Council at a meeting on 8 June 2016 with councillors recommended to grant planning consent.This is subject to completion of a Section 106 agreement to secure the affordable housing provision.
