Work starts to transform derelict Chesterfield land
Work has started which will pave the way for the transformation of a derelict stretch of land in Chesterfield.Perrys Motor Group will build a new car showroom at the site opposite the Alma Leisure Park off Derby Road.Smaller business units, a pub and car parking facilities will also be created.Diggers have moved on to the land to install infrastructure and level the site.Once this phase is complete, the land will be handed over to Perrys Motor Group which will build the new car dealership.Henry Boot Developments is responsible for the land, which is part of the Spire Walk development.Fronting the A61, Spire Walk is situated on the former Bryan Donkin Valves manufacturing site and includes a range of facilities, including retail, office buildings and Chesterfield fire station.The car dealership is the final piece of the jigsaw and concludes the ambitous scheme.
