New homes give boost to Banburys infrastructure
Banbury’s housing boom is set to continue with the development of hundreds of houses in the north east area of the town.Bellway Homes is building 412 new homes on land off Southam Road after receiving full planning permission from Cherwell District Council last October. The plots will comprise a collection of stone and brick building sranging from two to five-bedroom homes.As part of the development Bellway Homes will invest heavily in improving the local infrastructure including the construction of a new, £4.9 million primary school.The development will also see the building of leisure facilities and a community centre.Existing town amenities will also benefit as part of the planning permission process.These include £5.4 million for a bus service for Hanwell Fields, a £130,000 donation for improvements to Woodgreen Leisure Centre, and £250,000 for a multi-use games area.
