Morgan Sindall starts on £13m academy project
Morgan Sindall has started work on the £13m transformation of South Shore Academy on St Anne’s Road in Blackpool.The academy is one of 12 schools being rebuilt by Morgan Sindall under the Education Funding Agency’s Priority School Building Programme North West Batch (PSPB NW).Under the project, a new three-storey main building with 25 classrooms and a single-storey sports hall that is fully Sport England-compliant will be constructed.The four existing school buildings will eventually be demolished and replaced by a visitor and staff car park with a tree-lined cycle path and footpath running alongside it.
