Morgan Sindall set to work on £39.5m project
Construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall is set to design and build the £39.5m gateway building for Bournemouth University.The flagship building will become the new home of the university’s Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, subject to planning permission.The company is in advanced discussions with the university on the final plans for the development.A planning application has been submitted to Bournemouth Borough Council.The proposed building will provide about 110,000 sq ft of new academic space which will be accessible to all Bournemouth University students and the local community.It will mainly be used by more than 4,000 students from the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, which is currently based in numerous buildings on Christchurch Road.
