The SEACAMS2 project focuses on development of innovative change in the marine and coastal Low Carbon Economy of Wales. SEACAMS2 will boost investment in renewable energy and sustainable resource sectors by facilitating the translation of research to business activity, meeting burgeoning demand for coordinated information, data and modelling of coastal/marine processes. The project is managed through a partnership with Bangor University and part-funded by Welsh Government through the European Regional Development Funds.
The primary requirement is for a research vessel which offers a stable, safe platform for operation in the area of Swansea Bay (maximum of 26 passengers) and the Bristol Channel and Irish Sea (maximum of 12 passengers), with adequate space for the conduct of research and training.
