Engineering services in Mansfield – Framework Lead

The current contract for Engineering services in Mansfield is projected to end on 24/1/2017 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Engineering services in Mansfield included the Services of Consultants required under this Framework shall predominantly relate to issues arising from past mining activities. This includes, but is not limited to, the breach of contaminated mine water onto land or water courses, mining spoil waste tips, contaminated land, subsidence and surface hazards. The Framework is separated into Lots which reflect areas of expertise required.All Lots may require the following common services/deliverables:— soundly based technical reports,— support at litigation/arbitration procedures as an expert witness,— contract procurement and production of contract and tender documentation,— contract management and administration,— management and supervision of contractors,— attendance at meetings,— working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice and liaison with relevant statutory authorities,— general advice.The Authority reserves the right to award the Framework Contract to a suitable number of consultants to ensure that geographical areas and each of the areas of expertise stated below have sufficient service coverage.The geographical scope of these Services includes the former mining areas of England, Scotland and Wales.The Framework may also be used to undertake projects not related to coal mining and these projects may fall outside of the coalfield regions.There is no guarantee of the value of services which may be required under this framework.
