The Environment Agency has a requirement for the purchase of standard reach excavators, of a variety of sizes along with a range of associated equipment to enable it to carry out its statutory and voluntary undertakings in relation to the maintenance and operation of flood defences and river channels.
The primary requirement is the supply of standard reach excavators and associated equipment in conformity with the specification provided in section 2 and the appendices of this document.
Although the majority of our requirements for the next four years will be as specified in section 2, it is likely that we will sometimes have bespoke requirements for other, as yet unknown and unspecified construction equipment. This equipment is likely to consist of excavators and associated equipment of sizes below, between or above those detailed and other construction equipment, potentially including:
Lighting towers; fuel bowsers; water bowsers; generators; towed welfare units; hydraulic power packs; wheeled excavators; skid steers; all terrain vehicles, compressors and a variety of excavator attachments.
