Plans in for Wolves student scheme
A planning application for a major new student development in the centre of Wolverhampton has been lodged with the city council.JEDS Investment has earmarked a former industrial site on the corner of Stafford Street and Bone Mill Lane which was previously home to a car showroom.The E shaped building will provide rooms for 812 students over six to eight floors.As well as bedrooms, which will be arranged into studios, ‘twodios’ and cluster rooms, the building will also comprise a gym, lounge, study room and outdoor leisure and social areas.The site is within walking distance of the city’s Molineux Stadium, as well as the University of Wolverhampton’s City Campus The plans were prepared by KDP Architects and are now under consideration by Wolverhampton’s planning officers.
