4. Description: This is a requirement for the Awarding Authority. The Awarding Authority is the main public transport provider in Northern Ireland and is made up of three companies Metro, Ulsterbus, and Northern Ireland Railways (NIR). The Awarding Authority currently offer free on-vehicle Wi-Fi on the following services; NI Railways, Enterprise, Goldline (operated by Ulsterbus), Cross-channel (operated by Ulsterbus Tours). The Awarding Authority seeks to appoint a competent contractor to maintain the existing systems, and install/maintain new requirements. Included in this tender will be a requirement to define a revenue generation option. The contract will run for 5 years, with options to extend for any period up to and including 60 months.
