Description: The awarding authority Stormont is a major international centre and is the base for awarding authority ’s Veterinary Sciences Division which is dedicated to animal health and welfare and food safety. The awarding authority ’s Veterinary Sciences Division is seeking tenders for a high security laboratory steriliser to sterilise clinical waste. This is a replacement for a similar steriliser which is no longer fit for purpose. The main use of the new steriliser will be to sterilise laboratory waste categorised as hazard group 3 by the Advisory Committee on Hazardous Pathogens. The awarding authority require the successful contractor to provide a high security laboratory steriliser and to provide warranty, maintenance and back-up service. The contractor must supply, deliver and install, one high security laboratory steriliser as detailed in the specification, and provide warranty and back-up support in Year 1. The awarding authority will submit a purchase order for the steriliser on award of contract. The steriliser must meet the specification as set in the tender documents.
