Building construction work in Stockton on Tees – Framework Lead

The scope of this Framework Agreement will cover the requirements of Stockton on Tees Borough Council for suitably qualified and experienced Construction Contractors to enter into a Framework to provide construction works for a wide range of building projects of differing values and complexities undertaken by Stockton on Tees Borough Council.Specific building construction projects that may be procured through this Framework Agreement cannot be clearly defined at this stage due to the diverse and ever changing nature of Stockton on Tees Borough Councils capital programme of works. The building construction projects that have recently been undertaken by Stockton Borough Council have predominately related to new build, extensions and refurbishment works to primary and secondary schools and libraries and it is anticipated that these types of projects will be required to be delivered through the Framework Agreement. Other types of building construction works that also could be delivered through the Framework Agreement are new build, extensions and refurbishment works to the following types of buildings:— Leisure and Recreation Centres.— Swimming pools— Civic offices— Community centres— Contact centres— Social service facilities— Nursery facilities— Day care facilities— Social care facilities— Training centres— Colleges of Further Education— DepotsThe tender process is being carried out by Stockton on Tees Borough Council on behalf of Stockton on Tees Borough Council, Middleborough Borough Council, Hartlepool Borough Council, Darlington Borough Council and Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council who will all have the opportunity to use this Framework. The purpose is to have one tender for a Framework for Construction Works. Each authority will use the contract as a framework to act individually making direct arrangements with the contractors.
