Dudleys Aluminium wins school contract
Dudley’s Aluminium has secured a contract worth more than £750,000 to support the construction of a new school in Newport.As part of the agreement with BAM Construction, Dudley’s will install the secondary school’s aluminium façade, with work beginning in the spring of 2017.Engineers from Dudley’s Aluminium will install aluminium façade and glazing fixtures at the site, including custom-made curtain walling, windows and doors.The contract forms part of the wider development at John Frost School, with a new Welsh medium secondary school being developed on part of the existing site.Dudley’s Aluminium has completed several education sector projects in South Wales in the last 36 months. These included a £2.2m contract to support the construction of Swansea University’s new Bay Campus, as well as a £1.2m contact to help develop the CUBRIC research centre in Cardiff.
