Galliford Try wins £25m Airbus deal
Uxbridge-based construction giant Galliford Try has won a £25m contract to build the new Airbus Wing Integration Centre near Bristol.The project will create an advanced development and testing centre for large structural parts involved in the manufacture of aircraft.It also includes a physical test environment that will form a proving ground for future technologies, new materials and manufacturing techniques, as well as novel and more efficient testing processes.Around 250 Airbus engineers will be based in the new facility in Filton, alongside Airbus’s corporate-level research and technology network.
