New plans for mixed-use North Point scheme
Plans have been resubmitted for a £70m mixed-use scheme comprising residential properties, office space and a multi-storey car park along Pall Mall in Liverpool – eight years after an original application to develop the site was approved.The North Point scheme will be located between the junction of Leeds St (A5036) and Great Howard Street (A565), along the northern edge of the city centre.It comprises 507 residential units, a 517-space multi-storey car park, 4,500 sq ft of office space, 4,800 sq ft of retail space and 31,300 sq ft for leisure use, including a gym and spa.The planning application was first submitted and approved in 2008 and revised in 2012 to allot more time to complete their build.The latest designs were completed by Manchester-based architectural firm Fletcher Rae, stemming from a previous proposal that was approved in 2015 and withdrawn in March 2016.Fletcher Rae, Indigo Planning, Fabrik Landscape Architects, Alan Johnson & Partners Structural Engineers and SCP, Highways Engineers have all been involved in the planning application for the revised North Point development being put forward by Industrial Workshop Pall Mall Ltd.
