Roof-top dining extension lined up at Trinity Leeds
Plans and images have been submitted for proposed new restaurant and bar space at Trinity Leeds alongside a roof-top dining extension at the landmark shopping centre.Acting on behalf of owner Land Securities, Deloitte Real Estate has drawn up an application seeking permission to convert a currently vacant unit directly above the successful Trinity Kitchen area at the western end of the centre to pave the way for occupation by a “major prospective tenant”.According to plans drawn up by architects’ practice Chapman Taylor, 15,000 sq ft of space on the top floor of Trinity Leeds which was previously occupied by Boots would be converted into a restaurant and bar. Above this, a decked roof terrace of 2,500 sq ft overlooking Bond Street is also envisaged.Access to the roof terrace would be achieved by a dedicated lift from either street level or the main restaurant unit, and via “feature” stairs. The proposed restaurant use is expected to add to Trinity Leeds’s overall leisure offer and have natural synergies with the adjacent leisure and restaurant uses, including Trinity Kitchen as well as the wider retail uses within the shopping centre.About 70 jobs would be supported by the redevelopment.
