Construction begins at £70m East Lothian Community Hospital
Health secretary Shona Robison MSP marked the official start of works on the new £70 million East Lothian Community Hospital yesterday.The redevelopment of the hospital site is being undertaken in partnership with hub South East Scotland, with Morrison Construction appointed as the preferred phase one contractor.The programme of works will see a modern and purpose-built hospital developed on the existing Roodlands site in Haddington, helping improve the quality of care for people in East Lothian.
