Plans have been submitted to transform a vacant plot of land in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter into a new residential scheme. The site on the corner of Hampton Street and Henrietta Street has been earmarked for a four-storey development comprising 32 apartments. It will also feature a shared courtyard and open space. The plans were lodged with Birmingham City Council by PADD on behalf of Queensbridge Homes. The new application is similar to proposals for a mixed-used scheme comprising 24 apartments and two commercial units, which received the green light from the authority. However, permission has since lapsed.
