Britcon wins Widnes work
The Scunthorpe office of Britcon has secured work on a project in Widnes.The civil engineering company has been appointed by waste recycler ReFood (UK) to extend its £24m plant.Currently processing 120,000 tonnes of waste to produce 5MWh of renewable energy per year, the extended facility will increase the company’s capabilities by 25 per cent.Britcon’s £1.2m contract win follows the company working on the existing plant in 2014.
