Keepmoat lands £22m Castleford housing scheme
Keepmoat starts work in early summer on a £22m housing development in Castleford.Keepmoat has exchanged contracts with brownfield regeneration specialist Harworth to purchase 10 acres of land at Harworth’s Flass Lane development in Castleford for £3.65m.Keepmoat’s will build 157 two-and three-bedroom homes aimed specifically at first-time buyers. Work on the houses is expected to start on site in May once Harworth’s primary infrastructure works are finished.These will be the first houses on the Flass Lane development, which was granted outline planning permission from Wakefield Council in September 2015 for 560 homes, along with a pub and up to 50,000 square feet of commercial unit space.
