Wandsworth Borough Council on behalf of schools in the borough of Wandsworth is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced and competent suppliers for the provision of Schools ICT Support Services. The contract will be a framework agreement with 1 supplier with a contract term of three years, beginning on 1.4.2015. The total contract value is estimated at 970 000 GBP based on current volumes, but no volume of work is guaranteed under this contract. It is essential that the successful supplier is able to ‘win’ the schools over in order to provide the services, as the Council cannot compel schools to use the contract once it has been let. This service is currently performed ‘in house’ and comprises of advice and maintenance of school Information Management Systems, e-mail systems, system security, data management and classroom applications. The service will provide a ‘one stop shop’ for schools, providing system design, procurement, tendering, installation, maintenance and training. In addition to this, the City Learning Centre service is included, which provides curriculum advice and training. Schools in the borough can choose to purchase this service or to make their own arrangements. The service is currently bought by 51 of 56 Wandsworth primary schools, 3 nursery schools, 7 special schools and 2 secondary schools. The City Learning Centre Service is bought by 42 of the Wandsworth primary schools and has ad-hoc arrangements with a number of the nursery, special and secondary schools. In addition, the CLC sells services to a number of other London schools and Local Authorities and raises further income from bids and adult learning courses.
