New plans for apartments and family homes at Prescot site
New plans have been revealed for a large housing development vacant land off Knowsley Park Lane in Prescot.A revised application requesting outline planning permission for up to 200 new homes at the site owned by Whitakers Garden Centre has been submitted to Knowsley Council. The proposed development would include a mixture of apartments and family housing, along with new public open space and the retention of existing woodland areas. The site in question was formerly green belt land before the council removed its status and earmarked it for development.Earlier plans to build at the location were withdrawn after encountering opposition from local residents and some councillors.
