Lovell signs agreement for 220-home scheme
Lovell has signed an agreement with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to build 220 homes near Chorley.Subject to the project securing planning consent, Lovell plans to start construction work in late summer 2017 on a £53m housing development at Clayton-le-Woods on land purchased from the HCA. It will create 198 homes for open-market sale and 22 affordable starter homes.The proposed new housing comprises 18 two-bedroom and 118 three-bedroom houses as well as 67 four-bedroom and 17 five-bedroom houses. A total of 22 two- and three-bedroom properties will be sold through the government’s Starter Homes Initiative.The overall scheme, on land north of Lancaster Lane, is set for completion in 2023. The first homes are expected to be available for sale in the spring of 2018.
